Battle report: |
The Tuaregs began this match by setting a very competitive score of 146 off 30 overs with some excellent batting including a 65 from the chief. This was on a lively artificial pitch with extravagant bounce. Sadly the Tappers managed to achieve this score with 4 wickets remaining and 10 overs left. Chief mong amused the collection of urchins watching with some spectacular drop catches. The vice-chief, Robert White, also showed off his dynamism behind the stumps with 33 extras! His banter and warbling did however readdress this average performance. However this was only a warm-up game and helped to shake off a few cobwebs. It also helped to remind us that not much had changed during the wandering season and we were still awful. |

Emphatic loss |
Mong-Moment: | Chief Mong strolling into bat at no. 6, only to achieve a magnificent duck .His return to the pavilion was accompanied by quacking sounds from a collection of young kids on the boundary. |
